Daniela lived her childhood in Latina, but moved to Ravenna at
the age of eleven.
After earning a Degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage in
2005 she specializes in Archive Management.
At the same time she embarks on a personal journey as a painter,
following her instinct, research and passion, thus keeping faith
with the promise she had made to herself many years ago to
express herself through art. She timidly, almost secretly, begins to
discover colors and to make the first paintings with tempera on
paper and then gradually get to know other pigments. With the
impetus and emotion of discovery, in 2019 she meets the curator
Andrea Petralia from Mecenate.online with whom she begins a
collaboration. Petralia, encouraging her creative instinct, invites
her to learn about new expressive techniques. Daniela exhibits
one of her works as a “Guest of Honor” at the exhibition “The
Zibaldone of Contemporary Art” at the Terme Beach Resort in
Ravenna, curated by Andrea Petralia. In the meantime, her life is
enriched with the birth of her three children who help to define
her emotions even more intensely and the vision of the woman
which is the main feature of her works.
Her relationship with art becomes even more interesting after
meeting with the artist Paolo Nuti and through his suggestions, in
small steps, invites her to continue path in art.
In April 2021 Italica Net dedicated an article to her and the
critic Stefania Reitano wrote about it, defining her works as
“contemporary hieroglyphs”.
In November 2021 an article on Daniela is published on n. 10 of
the art magazine La Toscana Nuova. In spring 2021 Daniela was
selected for the Ars et Lux II collective exhibition, organized in
Milan by the Art-Space Milano association, at the Tolomeo Art
Space, from 4 to 21 May. In the same month, she participates in
the traveling exhibition “The flowers of art” curated by Andrea
Petralia. In September 2021 she is again selected to participate
in the collective “Dreamars II” organized by Art-Space Milano,
at HubArt from 9 to 23 September.
From 6 November 2021 to 6 December 2021 Daniela Sangiorgi
accepts the challenge to meet the public in her first solo show
entitled “The Color of Dreams”, at the Terme Beach Resort.
In February 2022 the critic Francesca Bogliolo wrote about her,
underlining in her text the “post impressionist and expressionist
matrix” of her works which are characterized by “enigmatic and
visionary presences” in a process of continuous metamorphosis.
Also in February 2022, the critic Filomena Volpe wrote the text
“Daniela Sangiorgi and the seasons of her life” in which she
analyzes the evolution over time of women, the undisputed
centre of her works.
In March 2022 the magazine Art & Art publishes an article
dedicated to her.
